MSME and Entrepreneurship
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in economic growth, job creation, and innovation. However, entrepreneurs in developing economies face significant challenges, including limited access to finance, weak market linkages, and regulatory constraints. Women-led enterprises and youth entrepreneurs are particularly affected by these structural barriers. Creating an enabling environment for MSMEs requires targeted support at policy, institutional, and enterprise levels.
We strengthen MSME ecosystems by providing policy advisory, capacity-building, and innovative financing mechanisms, from microcredit schemes to blended finance solutions. We work with governments and business support organisations to enhance regulatory frameworks, improve financial access, and foster entrepreneurship development. Our tailored interventions include training in business management, digitalisation, agribusiness innovation, and market access strategies. Additionally, we leverage technology to support business formalisation, digital entrepreneurship, and e-commerce integration – key drivers of competitiveness in today’s global economy. We also promote gender-inclusive entrepreneurship and support youth-led enterprises through mentorship and funding facilitation.
By removing barriers to business growth and fostering inclusive entrepreneurship, we contribute to job creation, economic resilience, and sustainable livelihoods. Our market-driven approaches equip MSMEs with the tools and knowledge to scale their businesses, integrate into value chains, and thrive in competitive markets.
