Resilient Development

Climate change is intensifying the frequency and severity of extreme weather events such as storms, floods, and droughts, surpassing the adaptive capacities of many communities. To address these challenges, governments are adopting a climate-resilient development approach. Building resilience requires integrating climate risk management into governance, infrastructure planning, and local decision-making.

We support partners in reducing vulnerability and enhancing adaptive capacity through tailored adaptation strategies and disaster risk management (DRM) approaches. This includes structural measures such as climate-resilient infrastructure and non-structural measures like capacity building, early warning systems, and risk-informed planning. We assist in developing National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), conducting participatory risk and vulnerability assessments, and strengthening community-based adaptation efforts.

By embedding climate resilience into governance frameworks and empowering communities, we contribute to sustainable, inclusive development. Our approach helps minimise climate-related losses, enhance disaster preparedness, and build adaptive capacity across sectors and governance levels.
