Strengthening Our Presence in Madagascar

On 26 February 2026, Dorsch Impact marked a significant milestone with the official celebration of its registration in Madagascar and the formal opening of its local office in Antananarivo. The event, held at the city's historic Café de la Gare, brought together more than fifty distinguished guests representing Malagasy government institutions, international donors, the private sector, consultancies, and conservation NGOs, reflecting the breadth of Dorsch Impact's engagement in the country.

Ms Hasina Andrianalizaha, Dorsch Impact Resident Representative in Madagascar, welcoming the guests to the opening ceremony.

The new office is represented by Ms Hasina Andrianalizaha as Dorsch Impact's Resident Representative in Madagascar. In her opening address, Ms Andrianalizaha underlined why Madagascar matters, and why Dorsch Impact's commitment to the country is long-standing: a country of exceptional biodiversity, a young and ambitious population, and a growing need for credible, accountable technical support in development.

Dorsch Impact Managing Director Mr Zihni Erençin travelled from headquarters in Essen to address guests, presenting the company's areas of expertise, spanning environment, agriculture, water, infrastructure, governance, and economic development, across more than 120 active projects in over 40 countries. He was joined by Madagascar Portfolio Manager Mr Jörg Lieberei, who outlined Dorsch Impact's five ongoing projects in the country, three of which were presented in detail by their respective team leaders.

The event was both a celebration and a statement of intent. As expressed during the welcoming address by the Resident Representative:

The ambition behind this opening is not simply to open an office, but to open a space of possibilities.
