Technical and Vocational Training and Youth Employment Programme - Phase III
The Ministry of Technical Education, Vocational Training and Industry (METFPI) has tasked the National Fund for Apprenticeship, Training, and Professional Development (FNAFPP) with implementing the “Technical and Vocational Training and Youth Employment Programme – Phase II”. The programme aims to improve the quality of and access to technical and vocational training in Atakpamé, Kara, and Dapaong, focusing on the agro-sylvo-pastoral sector, a key employer in the region. With a €3 million investment fund, the programme supports the construction and rehabilitation of training facilities, workshops, and production units, as well as the provision of equipment, tools, and teaching materials. An additional €1 million fund is dedicated to accompanying measures, including training for trainers and producers, development of training programmes, managerial capacity building, the creation of training networks in agro-sylvo-pastoral and entrepreneurial agriculture, and awareness campaigns.
