Strengthening Gender Equity and Participation for the Promotion of Peace: PazDiversa

The project Strengthening Gender Equity and Participation for the Promotion of Peace in Colombia – PazDiversa supports the training of government institutions and civil society organisations to implement gender-specific measures with an intersectional approach, in line with the Peace Agreement.

PazDiversa aims to further build the capacities of state institutions and civil society organisations already engaged with the GIZ programmes ProPaz II and Paz Comunal.

The project is structured around three key components:

  1. Strengthening the political participation of women and LGBTIQ+ people in the implementation of the gender-specific measures of the Peace Agreement.
  2. Enhancing the socioeconomic resources of civil society actors, enabling their participation in implementing gender-specific measures of the Peace Agreement, with a focus on Comprehensive Rural Reform.
  3. Training state institutions and civil society organisations to address unequal power relations and gender-based discrimination during the implementation of the Peace Agreement.
