Job Partnership and SME Promotion FORPRODE

The “Job Partnership and SME Promotion in Côte d'Ivoire – Technical Support for Implementation of Practical Vocational Training Programs” is part of the GIZ’s “Invest for Jobs” initiative, which seeks to address skills gaps and enhance employability in Côte d’Ivoire’s evolving industrial sector. Financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU), the project is implemented in partnership with GIZ and local stakeholders. Côte d’Ivoire is experiencing strong economic growth, yet many young people and women face barriers to accessing quality employment due to a mismatch between labour market needs and existing vocational education. In response, this project focuses on strengthening technical and vocational education and training (TVET) systems by developing and implementing demand-driven training programmes in industrial mechanics and electrode welding.

Dorsch Impact provides strategic technical advice and operational support to GIZ/FORPRODE (Perfectionnement Professionnel Orienté par l'Offre d'Emplois du Secteur Privé), ensuring that training curricula are closely aligned with private sector requirements and international competency standards. By building the capacity of TVET institutions and fostering collaboration with industry partners, the project aims to create sustainable employment opportunities, particularly for youth and women, and contribute to the country’s broader economic and social development.
