Improving the Employability of University and Vocational Training Graduates

The employability of vocational school and university graduates in Algeria is limited due to a lack of labour market-oriented programs and insufficient teaching of key non-technical competencies necessary for employment. The project aims to enhance the employability of students and graduates in selected vocational fields. Dorsch Impact is responsible for implementing the design of coordination mechanisms between education ministries and the private sector to analyse qualification requirements for construction and industrial professions and to develop strategies for adapting training programs to meet these needs. We develop practice-oriented training and further education programs for selected professions, integrating "green" topics such as energy efficiency and environmental management to align with industry demands. We equip students with employment-related key competencies, practical training courses, and labour market-oriented teacher skills to improve graduates’ job opportunities and entrepreneurial potential.
Through these measures, the project prepares graduates to meet current and future industry demands, enhancing their chances of securing employment or starting their businesses.
