Iringa Urban Water Supply Phase II

The project supported Iringa Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Authority in reducing poverty by improving access to safe, equitable, and affordable drinking water while enhancing wastewater collection and discharge for 145,000 inhabitants by 2020. These improvements led to better public health, reducing deaths and illnesses caused by unsafe water, poor sanitation, and lack of hygiene.

Capacity-building efforts ensured sustainable and efficient operations in water and sanitation management. The project focused on implementing high-quality investment measures while adhering to strict timelines and budgets. It also aimed to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, ultimately enhancing cost recovery and long-term sustainability.
