BioClime Support Project for Learning Experience Development

Operating globally from Germany, the Support project for implementation instruments of the Global Biodiversity Framework and the Paris Climate Agreement (BioClime) supports the global implementation of the UN Global Biodiversity Framework and the Paris Climate Agreement, responding to countries’ challenges in aligning biodiversity protection, climate mitigation, and ecosystem‑based adaptation. Commissioned by GIZ and financed by BMUKN through the International Climate Initiative (IKI), the project strengthens national and international capacities to revise and advance National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), while fostering synergies across biodiversity, climate and water policies.

Dorsch Impact was engaged to support the development and dissemination of knowledge products in the form of fifteen learning experiences which are disseminated on the PANORAMA Solutions Website (contribution to project Output IV). The focus is on IKI-financed GIZ projects working on solutions in the biodiversity–climate–water nexus in the countries Mexico, Brazil, Thailand and Indonesia.

The learning experiences are also prepared as presentations for events, executive summaries and/or social media campaigns. It is planned that some of the results of this work are presented at side-events of international conferences such as the UNFCCC COPs, CBD COPs and UN Water. They shall also be shared with international networks and initiatives such as the NDC Partnership Knowledge Portal, ENACT, and FEBA.

With this project, Dorsch Impact supports strategic learning processes and strengthens the capacities of the GIZ project implementation teams as well as partner organisations to manage and communicate their learning experiences effectively.
