Assistance, Monitoring and Work Supervision of the Wastewater Treatment Plants

Kasserine and Nefta, located in central and southwest Tunisia, have 83,534 and 21,654 inhabitants, respectively. Both areas suffer from economic marginalisation and poor infrastructure, leading to deteriorating living standards. In Kasserine, poverty and unemployment rates are particularly high.

The project “Assistance, monitoring and work supervision of the wastewater treatment plants in Kasserine and Nefta” aimed to develop quality, reliable and resilient infrastructure to support regional development. The focus was on technical assistance for monitoring, supervision and coordination of wastewater treatment plants in Kasserine and Nefta. These efforts significantly improve water quality by reducing the discharge of untreated wastewater.
