For our Good Governance and Civil Society section, we are looking for a national long-term Expert for the tender process of the Gender and Social Awareness Consultant (GSAC) for Water Loss Reduction Programme in the Mafraq Regional Operating Unit, Jordan. Main topics include stakeholder and community engagement and awareness raising.

Responsibilities:

• Review, develop and implement an Implementation Plan for the Stakeholder Engagement Plan;
• Design and conduct campaigns to raise citizen awareness, participation and social accountability regarding water scarcity/saving, the willingness to pay and illegal consumption.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant advanced university degree;
• 8 years’ experience in community engagement, social mobilisation, stakeholder analysis/engagement, and participation and awareness raising campaigns in the water sector;
• Fluency in both written and spoken English. 

Desirable additional expertise: 

• Additional relevant academic or professional qualifications;
• Training experience;
• Previous work experience in Mafraq ROU;
• Experience with projects financed by international development banks.
